Recognizing that the "Green Landscape and Humanized", characteristic of Minho rural areas, is an attractive and natural resource which must leverage through its economic value, communities intermunicipal of  Minho-Lima, Ave and Cavado, a pioneering initiative, decided to join efforts, in close coordination with public and private partners, submitted an application - the Minho IN - to PROVERE - Program for the Economic Enhancement of Endogenous Resources, of QREN, and whose Collective Efficiency Strategy (EEC) was approved by the Government in the past days July 29, in Lisbon.

It is the first time in their recent history that Minho joins a unique initiative to promote the EEC, from a consensual vision of the development of rural Minho, based on four economic areas (environment, tourism, agri-food and culture/heritage).

Around these four areas were defined nine anchor projects, which aim to help increase the attractiveness and competitiveness of the territory through the economic value of their local resources: natural resources, historical heritage, traditional knowledge, etc.. They are the Minho IN Golf, Health and Welfare, competitiveness and entrepreneurship, Green Wine, Arts and Traditional Products, Nature Tourism, tourism promotion, Solares, Villages and Gardens and Land New Business, for a total amount of investment of 14.6 million.

Minho IN strategy also includes the completion of about six hundred projects and complementary actions, essentially private in nature, amounting to several hundred million, and that will be classified as a priority in funding programs of the QREN, PRODER and PROMAR.
