According to the latest conclusions of the Presidency of the European Council, Europe must renew the basis of its competitiveness, increase its growth potential and its productivity and strengthen social cohesion, focusing primarily on knowledge, innovation and the development of human capital.
The most recent studies show the strong impact on indicators of growth and productivity, the investment in human capital and, in that sense, the strategic importance of strengthening education and training, in achieving these results.
Before the programming period - QREN 2007-2013, opened up a host of new opportunities to qualify either young or adult, considered as an instrument of their employability and full citizenship lifelong, which are perhaps one of the greatest challenges faced by the EU.
In this regard, and as the Intermunicipal Community of Alto Minho inherited a long and rich experience of municipal associations developed by the Urban Community Valimar and the Intermunicipal Community of Vale do Minho, particularly in terms of training in local government, continue to prioritize during the next few years, the investment,an indispensable tool, as is the training of employees of the municipalities that belong to it.
On that basis, will continue the training through the implementation of applications in several areas,under Measure 3.4 - Qualification of Professional Local Government, of POPH, and in terms of other measures in the context of the activity and training philosophy developed by the Intermunicipal Community.
To this aim the CIM will have on your organization chart a specific area of training with a technical team responsible for a set of functions to provide technical support to this type of activity, with a diverse stock internal trainers and the collaboration of various public and private partners.
